Flick Review: Baka Siguro Yata

10/07/2016 01:18:44 AM

Baka Siguro Yata is one of the first films I have seen here at Cinema '76. This 2015 Cinema One Original entry featured one of the best comedy flicks fit enough for family viewing. Talk about depicting love in multiple and more than romantical aspects, somewhat we might have seen in some of the mainstream rom-com movies.

It might be a rom-com at all, and I might may never be really my type. But this one differs from a lot of thing I have been in disdain. Look: you inject stories for family love, same-sex relationships, one-night stand en route to a family relationship of its own, and even the fact that former partners/lovers can be friends into such a realistic set-up and a simple treatment, and voila!

Dino Pastrano was a standout here. He got the tenacity that made his character acting so effective; and it blended well with notable actors Ricky Davao and Cherie Gil.

Certainly the real-looking in reel here has taught everyone a lesson when it comes to facing the reality of love at present and responsibilities in the future. Heck, sex factor wasn't really depicted into a sensationalized fashion here. They may have talked a lot, but was never showcased in bombastic way. Thus, fun and fitting enough.
