Dexcon will hold two events this May, with Dexcon Dakila II, a two-day event from May 23 to May 24! This weekend’s top stars feature famous New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) star Zack Sabre Jr. and DDT Pro Wrestling’s top talent Chris Brookes.
Get ready for a dual shot of pro wrestling weekend, starting with Baka Gaijin + Friends MNL Volume 2 (with the meet and greet) at Sari-Sari Bar in Makati on May 23.
Finally, we will have Dexcon Dakila II at Bigger Pictures Spaces in Mandaluyong on May 24.
For the Dexcon World Championship: Jake De Leon (c) vs. Chris Brookes
Jake De Leon will defend the DXCN World Championship against Chris Brookes. The history between these two goes back a long way. Both men wrestled in the main event of the very first Dexcon, and now they face each other once again in a match that means everything to both competitors.
Since their first encounter, JDL has travelled across Asia and competed against some of the best wrestlers in the world. Meanwhile, Chris Brookes has captured multiple championships and won the hearts of the Filipino audience, even earning the honorary Filipino nickname “Tupe.”
Although they are stablemates in RGT, neither man will take it easy on the other when they step into the ring.
International Dream Match: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Ravena
Ravena faces another massive challenge as he goes one-on-one with Zack Sabre Jr. “The Most Influential Influencer” is no stranger to high-level competition after facing Minoru Suzuki at Dito Naman. This time, however, he steps into the ring against the man many consider the Best Technical Wrestler in the World.
Can Ravena pull off the upset, or will Zack Sabre Jr. prove exactly why he is regarded as one of the best wrestlers on the planet?
For the Lakambi ng Dexcon Women’s World Championship: Joya (c) vs. “Mad Kat” Karina
In her first title defense, Joya goes head-to-head with “Mad Kat” Karina for the Lakambini ng DXCN Women's World Championship.
Joya has made it clear to DXCN officials that she wants the best women’s talent from around the world, and she is ready to defend her title to anyone who wants to step up.
Meanwhile, Mad Kat Karina has been making waves in SPW and is looking to make a statement in her first match in Manila. It’s gonna be “The Firestarter” vs. “The Mad Kat”. Who is going to come out as the winner?
For the IWA Japan Setup World Heavyweight Championship: Shivam (c) vs. Joey Rosas
This is the fight you’ve all been waiting for. The “Philippines’ Favorite Son” Shivam returns to Manila to defend the IWA Japan Setup World Heavyweight Championship against “Ang Poging Bagsik” Joey Rosas.
Both men have agreed to step into the ring, take the hits, and risk it all for the title, each determined to prove who truly deserves to be called champion, both in the ring and as the ultimate pogi.
Nigel San Jose vs. Da Butcherman
Katayan Na! The Pig Face Killah faces one of the toughest challenges of his career as he goes one-on-one with Da Butcherman.
Nigel San Jose is coming off a hard-fought battle against Carlo Cannon, but this time, he steps into the ring against one of Cash Money's students in Southeast Asia.
Da Butcherman is no stranger to high-stakes competition, having competed in career-defining matches against Minoru Suzuki and Tetsuya Naito. Who will come out on top in this Meat fest?
Fatal Four-Way Match: Robin Sane vs. Jonathan Johnson vs. Shaheen vs. Munetatsu Nakamura
A high-stakes Fatal Four-Way brings together some of the most athletic pro wrestlers from around the world. Representing the Philippines is Robin Sane, known as “The Serial Thriller” and widely regarded as the fastest wrestler in the country.
He’s joined by Jonathan Johnson, a top star in Thailand and a fan favorite in DXCN. Returning to the ring is Shaheen, who has competed across Dubai and internationally, bringing his dynamic and athletic style back to the spotlight.
Completing the lineup is Munetatsu Nakamura, a rising talent from Japan who has already connected with Filipino fans, most notably by wearing JDL shorts during WrestleKingdom. Don’t blink. This is one match you won’t want to miss.
Mixed Nuts Match: Ken Cifer vs. JOMAR vs. Isaiah Valencia vs. Serafin Liwanag vs. HIT vs. Big Good Jack vs. Sage Matthews vs. Emman
Eight competitors from five different countries will compete in a high-stakes Mixed Nuts Match, battling for ultimate supremacy.
The Rules:
1. The match begins with two wrestlers in the ring.
2. A new competitor enters at one-minute intervals.
3. Eliminations occur via pinfall or submission.
4. Eliminated wrestlers remain at ringside as lumberjacks.
5. The final remaining competitor wins and selects a “prize” from the bag, which may include a future title opportunity, an international dream match, or a penalty.
