[THIS IS A PRESS RELEASE]
KOMUNIDA, Inc., a Philippines-based non-profit organization dedicated to advancing art-based education, is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Resilience Builders program, now in its third year of implementation. Rooted in the principles of climate justice, human rights, and community empowerment, KOMUNIDA works with diverse communities to foster inclusive, creative, and locally grounded learning spaces. As part of this initiative, KOMUNIDA proudly introduces the Resilience Builders: Climate Justice Education Toolkit—a resource designed to support learning, dialogue, and collective action on climate justice. Currently available in English, the toolkit is intended to be adapted and contextualized across different cultural and local settings to ensure accessibility and relevance.
It’s also high time that, beyond disaster resilience and management, we shift the conversation toward climate justice—recognizing that young people are at the forefront of driving meaningful action and change. We are actively seeking collaborations with partners, institutions, and community networks to broaden the reach and impact of the toolkit. Areas of collaboration may include:
- Implementation of the toolkit within local communities and networks
- Translation and contextualization into local languages
- Documentation, storytelling, and research initiatives
- Facilitation of climate justice education sessions and crash courses
- Co-development of workshops, learning programs, and community-based initiatives
- Partnerships in future programs such as creative fellowships, youth-led productions, intergenerational dialogues, and climate summits
KOMUNIDA emphasizes that effective climate justice education must be locally grounded, participatory, and accessible. Through strategic partnerships, the organization aims to ensure that communities most affected by climate challenges are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and platforms to lead meaningful action.
In line with its commitment to expanding impact, KOMUNIDA also welcomes support in translating, digitizing, printing, and facilitating the toolkit, as well as strengthening capacity-building efforts across regions.
KOMUNIDA respectfully invites members of the media, partners, and relevant platforms to support this initiative through coverage, feature stories, and knowledge dissemination to help amplify the reach and impact of climate justice education efforts. Interviews both online and on-site are most welcome.
Organizations and individuals interested in collaboration are invited to express their interest through the following form: https://forms.gle/iDLLFaPePnH2Wnc69
KOMUNIDA looks forward to building meaningful partnerships that advance climate justice education and empower communities worldwide.
