Warner TV Pop Expo '19 hits Eastwood City!

11/26/2019 12:03:22 AM

It's that time of the year again where superfans gather together at the Warner TV Expo held earlier this month at Eastwood Mall and Central Plaza in Quezon City.

Whether you are a member of DC Universe, a rider of Mystery Machine, or just somebody who hangs around the Pasadena apartment or at Central Perk coffee shop, Warner TV Expo boasted an entire Sunday of fun experiences just for your enjoyment.

One of the icons for this year's WTV Expo was the famous couch from the famous sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Just in time for their 25th anniversary, the couch was the famous attraction of the  “We Are F.R.I.E.N.D.S.” interactive photo area. It was flown all the way from the United States.

Another legendary sitcom was a focal point of this year's expo as The Big Bang Theory-driven trivia challenge took place in the evening; attracting fans of both TBBT and its sequel Young Sheldon.

Fans of the Dark Knight also flaunt their creativity at the “Batman-By-Us,” an interactive graffiti exhibit consisting of three generations of Batman-inspired suits that were spearheaded by Expo panelists, Gelo Grayson and Kino Kaoru.

Of course, Warner TV Pop Expo’s signature booths Artist Alley, Maker Center, The Heroic Training, and games such as the Arrow-inspired “Archery Attack”, Swordplay and Shooting Range were present, too at the Activity Area located at Eastwood Central Plaza.

Plus, E-gamers were treated to an all-day e-sports tournament while board games at the Table Top Gaming booth were also made available for fans to enjoy while making new friends.

Several industry speakers also took the podium of Warner TV Pop Expo main stage during the afternoon and early evening. The first part of Pop Talks depicted Streetwear and involved the likes of Lari Gazmen of Nobody Clothing, Mong Feliciano of Resonate App & Kyltro, Nikki Dela Rea of The Twelfth House, and Narez of Careless Manila & Island City. Later that day, Bad Student had a panel discussion for Independent Publishing, while Grayson and Kauru tackled Cosplay.

There are also a number of sightseeing spots around this expo, such as the statue of Scooby Doo who celebrated his 50th birthday, as well as Aquaman, people who cosplayed some of the iconic characters from DC and more.

And what's a Warner TV Expo without a mini-concert, right? Two of the country's popular acts She’s Only Sixteen and Earl of Manila performed during the nightcap. But that's not all as superfans went home with cool prizes and exclusive goodies as well as their very own Warner TV merchandise which they designed at the Giveaway Central.

Hailed as Home Of The Superfans, Warner TV is the channel that houses anything and everything that's Warner. This includes blockbuster movies such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, as well as some of the fan-favorites including The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Impractical Jokers, Carbonaro Effect. The top general entertainment channel in Mega Manila among young adults also premieres exclusive shows such as Batwoman, The Flash, Blindspot, Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl on the same day as the US. Tune in via Cignal Ch. 235 and SkyCable Ch. 34, and check out their social media pages for more info.
