08/23/2019 04:35:48 PM

Lenovo Philippines released its newest line of products catering to the pro-sumers, millennial workers and entrepreneurs.

Dubbed as the ThinkBook, this is Lenovo's answer to the needs of a powerful workhouse of laptops that require both exceptional style and performance.

“Through the high performance and elegance of the ThinkBook, businesses will have an edge in attracting tech-savvy millennials and Gen Z workers who grew up working, creating and communicating online with stylish and premium devices. Lenovo helps companies create a more productive workplace as the young employees, who are already competent in leveraging technology, can now work to their fullest knowing that their demands of flexibility, power, and aesthetics are fulfilled,” said Michael Ngan, Lenovo Philippines Country General Manager.

Leading the way for this new series is the ThinkBook 13S laptop that comes with a sleek, magnesium-infused aluminum finish, giving it a distinctive premium look. The flagship device boasts a  13.3” FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS anti-glare display with less than 5.55mm thin bezels, which promises users a bigger screen to work on. It also has the Dolby Vision™ high dynamic range technology, which provides increased brightness, expanded contrast, amazingly accurate color, and more refined detail to images.

Just like its predecessor (ThinkPad), Lenovo's ThinkBook was developed with several durability features such as protection from water spills, extreme temperature, and vibrations; aiming to withstand the wear-and-tear of the day-to-day operations. Its zinc-alloy hinge has powdered-metal technology to endure 25,000 open-and-close cycles, and it’s coated with both indium and stannum to enhance resistance to corrosion.

The ThinkBook 13S is available in two variants. One of them is powered by AMD RADEON 540X graphics with Windows 10 Home OS and 2-Year Carry-in Warranty and is worth PHP 54,990, while the other variant is having the Integrated Intel® UHD 620 on Unified Memory Architecture (UMA) graphics, Windows 10 Pro OS, and 1-Year Carry-in Warranty and is worth PHP 58,990.  Both devices are equipped by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB onboard memory, and 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD storage which enables instantaneous response from programs. For uninterrupted business, Lenovo has powered the device with a battery life of 11 hours and the Rapid Charge feature which fuels the battery up to 80% in just an hour of charging.

On top of these, The ThinkBook 13S has the preloaded features helpful for businesses. One of them is Lenovo Vantage, which offers tools for preventive hardware diagnostics, personalized hardware settings, and auto-install of critical updates. Another feature is the Lenovo Migration Assistant, a free application that helps users migrate all user files and settings when upgrading systems. It also has a 30-day trial of the entire Microsoft Office suite of productivity tools.

Enterprise-level security and support

To protect its users, Lenovo has equipped the ThinkBook 13S with the new ThinkShield security suite that comprised of features such as the Smart Power On fingerprint recognition for device access, FIDO (Fast Identity Online) security for safer online authentication, and discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM 2.0) encryption capabilities that encrypt and store device user credentials on a separate chip for added security. For physical security, the ThinkBook 13S has a ThinkShutter webcam cover.

What's more is that users of the ThinkBook 13S can enjoy business-grade support services such as Premium Support that provides direct access to skilled and experienced Lenovo technicians offering comprehensive hardware and software support, including the next business day on-site support, wherein Lenovo IT experts will personally troubleshoot any problems and provide further solutions on-premises. Plus, the device has Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) support that covers damages not usually part of standard warranties such as minor spills, drops, or damages to the screen.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is available in Lenovo Exclusive Stores located at SM North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Megamall; as well as Thinking Tools SM City Cebu
