Fête de la Musique 2019 offers MORE MUSIC this weekend!

06/27/2019 03:51:53 PM

If you think Fete de la Musique is just a one-weekend affair, think again.

The past FDLM weekend was considered the biggest staging in the country with over 54 stages (2 main and 52 pocket venues) and featuring over 2,200 artists. Today's hottest and notable acts such as Unique, Apartel, Urbandub, Itchyworms, Autotelic, and Ebe Dancel rocked the two main stages during that stretch. The past Friday's concert also featured a special production number featuring the likes of Marc Abaya, Joey Ayala, SUD, Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas, Kat Aggarado, and a whole lot more.

But wait... there's more;and we mean it because more music will come your way this Friday and Saturday.

While the past Fete weekend has sent Makati City into a frenzy, #Fete25 is bringing its anniversary fete-stivities across the Northern Philippines and Palawan.

As always, Intramuros will house the third Fete main stage this Friday. Meanwhile, brace yourselves for a Saturday night affair with live music as free concerts will be staged in Baguio, Batangas, Bulacan, Laguna, Palawan, and Pampanga on June 29.

Co-produced with the Intramuros Administration, the Intramuros Main Stage presents an exciting lineup of performers including alternative rock band Sandwich,  singing-songwriting duo Leanne and Naara, hip-hop group Stick Figgas, independent jazz, soul and funk band Extrapolation, indie-folk band Munimuni, and The Vowels They Orbit, Rice Lucido, and One Click Straight + Ena Mori – plus the All-Female French-Filipino medley with Radha, Fatima Palma-Loo, and Vanessa Monot. Show starts at 4:45pm. See the schedule below.

Aside from the live music sets, the winner of the #FeteStories social media contest will also be announced at the Intramuros Main Stage wherein he or she will get a trip for two to Paris. Voting for the best #FeteStories video is until 12pm of Wednesday, 27 June 2019 on the Fete PH app.

Let's move to Saturday's widespread extravaganza. Fete de la Musique will have its northernmost main stage at Malcolm Square in Baguio City, with Kat Agarrado, Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas, Kapitan Kulam, Ang Bandang Shirley, Rusty Machines, Jensen Gomez, and many more as its billed performers.

There will also be five Fete de la Musique stages in Laguna (one in Pagsanjan and four in Los Baños) three in Palawan, and one each in Batangas, Bulacan, and Pampanga.

Watch Gin Rum and Truth, Noreen Trinidad, BLKD, Ang Bandang Alon, and Ysanygo in any of five stages situated in Laguna.

Calebral, Blind By Fate, and Bonifacio Republic will headline another CALABRZON-based Fete stage in Rosario, Batangas.

Ian Penn, Mt. Lewis, Chiquuerella, Keane Trinity, and Headroom will banner the fete main stage produced by At The Back MNL in Angeles City.

Orange & Lemons will be headlining the Bulacan main stage produced by Beach House Productions and Darkus Music. But a must-see is the reunion of Juan Pablo Dream – that's of course, with other billed acts such as Barangay Breakfast Club, Now You Make Me Angry, Baraluman, Vanessa Mendoza, and Blind Stereo Moon.

Palawan will also have four stages, featuring the likes of Anstfly, Rey Abrea, Quentin Tarantoty, Winston, and Raptured Faith.

Meanwhile, the FDLM 2019 Closing Party will be taking place inside 20:20 at La Fuerza Plaza 1 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City. Co-produced by Gabi Na Naman and Diocdef Productions, this all-day-and-night-long spectacle features 23 bands – an astonishing way to conclude this nationwide, month-long music festival. The lineup includes Orange & Lemons, The Ransom Collective, Munimuni, The Bloomfields, Cheats, Never The Strangers, Oh, Flamingo!, Shirebound and Busking, Coeli, Carousel Casualties, Basically Saturday Night, Any Names Okay, and many more.

As always, admission to all of these stages is absolutely FREE. So come one, come all... just don't be like those dickheads who would take desperate means to get into the gigs, vandalizes the venues, and act like a bunch of ARGOs to the performers, please.
