Jon Santos' TRUMPERTE hits PETA this October!

10/17/2018 09:19:48 AM

After a successful run earlier in the year, legendary comedian Jon Santos will be staging a two-night only show titled TRUMPERTE as part of the Philippine Educational Theater Association's 51st Season at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.

As meme-able as it sounds, TRUMPERTE is one satirical live show-slash-ultimate political spoof mash-up that;s guaranteed to be brave, explosive, and delightfully entertaining with Santos donning the colorful personalities like Donald Trump, Digong Duterte  and many more.

At the same time, TRUMPERTE is a special project for the iconic comedian as Santos – the country's top political spoofmaker and sharpest comic barometer – caps his 30 years in show business. The comedy act also serves as part of PETA's ongoing creative campaign called Stage Of The Nation, wherein it uses the arts and engage artists to take part in the discourses that concern our nation. Thus, they described Santos' upcoming show as a “careful, sophisticated, social and political commentary.”

“Napaka-encouraging that we all laugh at the same places. There's hope na alam pa natin ang tama at mali. Nakaka-encourage na they  [audience] support live comedy as a form of healing. And they dress up, they buy a ticket, and they brave the traffic to bond with other human beings,” said Santos.

For at least one and a half-hour or so, let's laugh our problems away by seeing JON SANTOS' TRUMPERTE which will be held on 26 and 27 October 2018 at the PETA Theater in New Manila, Quezon City.
