The Scene Around: An Honest Mistake at ZILI

12/21/2016 02:39:50 PM

As part of their recent visit in the country (their ninth, in fact!), Malaysian pop punk and rock band An Honest Mistake staged an intimate outing on a Sunday night in the Easternmost part – and a bit away from the nation's capitol Manila. And it's far different from what they had in their recent biggest gig Threadfest.

The event was held at ZILI Restaurant and Bar in Cainta, Rizal on an evening that is quite different from a typical indie music outing (Sunday, 20 November 2016), with bands Drop Decay, False Apart, Paranoid City and Margaret joining the party. And hey, it was free for everyone from – entrance and even the drinks.

However, An Honest Mistake went on a duo acoustic performance (Darren Teh and Leonard Chua) with friends Japo Anareta (Paranoid City), Arianne Gonzaga (False Apart), and two of those lovely ladies from Air Asia joining them on performing. It was also a special night when they AHM sang – for the first time ever – one of their songs from then-upcoming Christmas album called An Honest Christmas.

It was truly another night in the books for Malaysia's top bands in the Philippines as they culminate their first tour as artists under the record label Universal Music Malaysia the chillout way.
