Scoring Bombs

2/7/2015 12:08:19 PM

It’s been weeks of scoring explosions yet again here in the NBA. Looks like some players really carve their names regardless if they will end up being in the All Star roster or not (which, by the way, will be coming second weekend of February in New York City).

Yes, after Mo Williams scored a season-high 52 points earlier this season (that, by the way, sets highs on his career and franchise as well), how about this—NBA-record 37 points in a single quarter from Klay Thompson?

I remembered seeing the sequences while I was at Route 196, just few minutes before their event way back then.

Wow, did he just tied Mo’s record right there? At the end of the game, he got 52. Man, even Wilt, Mike, nor Kobe did not had more than 37. (Maybe they have once made a 25 or 30-ish point quarter, but… man, George Gervin previously recognized for putting up the most baskets with 33.)

And mind you, folks: he did not even miss a single shot right there.

Then, this one came along: a 55-point explosion from Kyrie Irving. Man, even LeBron (who did not play due to an injury then) loved that.

Now, looks like the King has really seen his henchmen right there; I mean, somebody who can take over when the game is on the line, and he’s not able to be around. The question now: can they win the big one at the Q? That remains to be seen though.

And if Klay had does it for the first time in his career, well, his Splash brother has done it again: 51 for the game, and 36 in the second half; and thus, tying his career-high right there.

And moreover, a perfect way to climb back from a 22-point deficit! Wow!

Are we gonna see some huge scoring games this season? Well, we hope to; considering Kobe’s 81 and Wilt’s 100 rammed during the first quarter of this year.
