Of course, the two battle royals and (sadly) the WWE Cruiserweight Championship is already slated at the kickoff show that might even start before sunrise here in Manila. With over 13 matches in the card, WrestleMania 34 is obviously expected to take more than a quarter-of-a-day long, with over five hours for the program itself. Kinda dragging, right?
Let's kick things off with a tag team match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn against Shane McMahon and the returning Daniel Bryan, with the former's jobs on the line. The will be another YES!tleMania for sure. But given the consequences hampering Kami, looks like this will be a tough one to predict. Of course, odds will be stacked against the despicable duo once they faced the authority figures of SmackDown Live.
Honestly, I want DB to win his first returning match and that feelgood moment will be gone to waste if Owens-Zayn will go home the victors of this 2x2 scuffle. And that, could be a reality come Sunday at The Big Easy.
It's another clash of authorities as Raw GM Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey will take on RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and WWE COO Triple H. It's a shame if the bookers will hand Rowdy Ronda a loss that has been stinging her since her last UFC run.
Somehow, that makes up for the absence of Ronda's supposedly partner (see WrestleMania 31 for reference) named The Rock, and that serves as the continuity of the Angle-HHH duel that has been running not-so-wild since Survivor Series.
Okay, since we tackle tag team matches here, how about we take a step – towards the championships? The SmackDown Live tag team roster was quite stacked that they put a triple threat match for their own version of tag team belts. The questions: Will The Usos retain these golds? Will a New Day emerge at New Orleans? Or will the Bludgeon Brothers make a mark.
Hey, make no mistake about this: the newly-reformed duo of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan seemed to be more dangerous than their days as part of the Wyatt Family. Hell, they're a dark-horse pick to win the title.
Somehow, Usos retaining them would just give everyone a resemblance of their 2014 outing at the same venue.
As for the RAW Tag Team Championship, I do think The BAR may retain the tag team golds and made Braun Strowman looked like a bulldozer (I know, quite in contrast with what I have said a few days ago).
But expect this monster babyface to steal the show – and hit running powerslams to everyone out there.
Oh, who will be Braun's mystery partner? I'm picking either Rey Mysterio or Big Cass, and that may draw huge pop inside the Superdome. But what if that TBA guy/Braun's partner turns out to be... Mick Foley? My goodness, that may swerve the result either!
