The Rundown Slam: NXT TakeOver Brooklyn 3

09/01/2017 10:46:13 PM

Just like any big weekend for the World Wrestling Entertainment, their development brand has been a standout show for the weekend. Heck, they even toppled the E's big shows, and that includes the recent edition of WrestleMania.

It doesn't matter if they only have a regular (or even a bit smaller) number of audience inside the arenas. And even if you argue they are almost equal on delivering matches, but given the time frame of their coverage, TakeOver episodes weren't a dragging one to deal with. And they don't need to be stacked on doing so.

The five matches proved how Triple H's babies are the future current best crop of sports entertainment today regardless having less exposure time compared to the ones in the main roster.

And even if I was shrunk into a rare-timed casual viewer nowadays, some matches here made me felt I am not really that left behind. At least we have seen the reemergence of Drew Mcintyre, and an eventual departure of the egotistic Bobby Roode from his throne as the NXT Champion. Also, Allister Black continues to move up – even if it means sending Hideo Itami's run in question anew.

However, Asuka's dominance against Ember Moon made me thought for a second: How do you stop such a strong and sneaky woman who has held the NXT Women's Championship longer than any other WWE title in recent history?

But I have to say the NXT tag team championship match was the best of that edition. These two mammoth literally tiore the house down in such a way that it almost reminded me of The Shield and The Wyatt Family during their tag team bout at Elimination Chamber 2014.

But while we have seen some new champions crowned during TakeOver, a new trio is poised to change the NXT landscape by storm. This is surely be interesting, and proving that TakeOver isn't just havong somebody to end the chapter, but at the same time, another one unfolds that will make everyone get hooked by the aftermath.

Yes, it's happening soon, beybey!

The Verdict: 9.0
