It's a long whole since the last time I hooked up with Monty Macalino and his band that is so famous that you could only recall them more than just a sandwich dressing. Like seriously, when was the last time I heard of them? Barely seven years ago, with that old four-piece lineup. And the first time I had a chance to spot them live was during Docdef Productions' summer-in-November grandeur called In 'D Flow.
For The Rest of My Life has been their all-English tracks album and has probably stood a bit of difference among their other records, songwriting-wise. Can't seem to resist their punkish guitar hooks on top of their similar-yet-refurbished alternative rock sound and their distinctly-written chorus parts.
And even a decade-old band can proved that they can experiment well with two instrumentals Los Angeles and the title track itself.
At least, Mayonnaise proved they still got it and can still keep up with the current wave of band exploders. FTROML was their best rejuvenation. Wonder what they have in store soon.
