Flick Review: Patay Na Si Hesus

09/03/2017 05:26:20 PM

Patay Na Si Hesus was supposed to poise a tragic movie by the paper. However, the comedy didn't appear like joke here.

While the path to the wake has been evidently shown, the weird kind of humor has been taking over the movie most of the time.  Strangely funny to notice a lot of imagined possibilities were mixed along with human compassion for almost 90 minutes with this movie.

Seeing Patay Na Si Hesus as part of last month's all-Philippine made extravaganza called Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino made me realized one thing: How quality films – regardless if it's independently or commercially-produced – were undervalued all in all by the ones up there and the movie-viewing public in general.

The Verdict: 8.8
