The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 33 – Championship Matches

04/02/2017 11:54:43 PM

We head on to WrestleMania with a RAW Tag Team Championship on the line, and it promises to be a very entertaining one as The Club will defend their titles as they face Sheamus-Cesaro and Enzo-Big Cass in a triple threat match.

As much as I wanna see Enzo and Bigg Cass pull off the win (even if they might appear to be another bunch of one-night reigners), I think Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson would retain this; and make The Club as the dominant three-man group at WrestleMania. But expect this one to be one of the top spot fests with very entertaining antics – on and off the squared circle.

Sad, though, that the SmackDown Tag Team Championship will not be contested. That way, it looked how much people got involved in Mania in a bigger picture, especially with The New Day playing the hosts; resulting into compromises – in major and minor scale.

Dean Ambrose versus Baron Corbin for the Intercontinental Championship. It was suppsoed to be a hardcore-ish like feud, right? Well, the problem: while we have seen them shoving each other backstage, it seems we are not getting that one. And frankly, Ambrose as a champion was a boring one nowadays.

However, I don't think Corbin will win here either. And really, are they going to put the lunatic on a WrestleMania losing streak?

Unless the WWE is serious for putting the Bad Wolf as one of the contenders for being the toughest heels today.

Chris Jericho versus Kevin Owens. Two former best friends with the former helping the latter on his run as the WWE Universal Champion. They are now bitter enemies, becoming a factor for KO on losing that red title to Goldberg.

And they are now about to shove each other's throats for the United States Championship.

That said, though, I think KO will be the US champ. And there's nothing really to be ashamed of if Jericho loses. After all, his 26.5-year run (and counting) as a professional wrestler has earned him being one of the grandslam winners in WWE right now. And we wish to see that flashing jacket soon!
