The Scene Around: Yuletide Blends Album Launch

12/21/2016 01:16:36 PM

The past Saturday afternoon has sent the warm holiday spirit the cozy way as R & C Infinity Entertainment Management formally launched a compilation-album in time for Christmas titled "Yuletide Blends" Historia Botique and Bar in Quezon City.

The eight-tracked album comprised of various famous Christmas songs rendered by the seven of their finest artists – and also done in so many ways than one.

Yuletine Blends also had one original track titled Christmas Day composed by the Angeles-city based reggae band Chocolate Factory. Aside from that, one song from Phoebe Salvatierra titled “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” features a duet with acoustic icon Nyoy Volante.

Present on stage were Chocolate Factory, Richard Supat, Sarah Caballero, Giedie Maureen Laroco, Garrett Bolden, Jr., and Phoebe Salvatierra.

This is something I can say an afternoon if discovery for me, considering I have been into the music scene (very often) for over a year; and these performers were so good in their respective ways. Like for one, you can notice a performer like Supat belting vocal ranges like an Operetta singer – or at most, similar to Josh Groban. Laroco may be young, but her doing pop music suits her age to say the least. And why not?

Caballero may looked like just an ordinary singer who had a limited exposure both on screen; but singing one of her penned songs during the launch proved she has something different to offer than the rest. Bolden proved why he was once a notable name from the famed "Tawag Ng Tanghalan."

And that goes to the Salvatierra as well, whom little known to us many is a no-stranger to the industry with her two-decades of collaborations with multicultural musicians and artists around the globe. Though for me, Chocolate Factory caught my attention the most. Talk about a band doing pop-reggae tunes as sweet as they can offer to everyone out there.

That being said, I think we could have a Yuletide Blends to have a warm and light in these present times, especially when holidays like Christmas reminds us its real spirit. The album is available at your favorite record bars nationwide and on various digital platforms. P.S. Shoutouts to one of my blogging buddies Earl Maghirang (TheFanboySEO), as well as to the hardworking people of R & C Infinity Entertainment.
