There will be an Amapalaya Day before the midway of the BER season, as Theater in Alternative Platforms will be slating the first anniversary of the popular program Ampalaya Monologues at the PETA Theater in Quezon City.
There will be around 20 monologues expect to be presented by the performers, with other performances by guests spoken word artists, musicians, and even a live art exhibit taking place.
And this is their biggest show to date after slating around 15-20 programs in coffee shops, bars, galleries, and even parks; thus, living up to their name by making theater accessible to everyone. The PETA Theater Center will be expect to make Ampalaya Monologues stage a wider stage, which barely means no limited movements on portrayals.
Some of the Amapalaya Monologues favorite pieces will be showcased within the four-hour extravaganza. Performers are the following: Rain Gutierrez, Janine Lloce, Dave Ramones, Mariko Urimoto, Berna Manipon, Gracia Paterno, Yves Gutierrez, Yan-yan Gervero, Patty Arro, Elizabeth Concepcion, R'love Rojas, Ace Alfaro. Hogi Cadlum, and Euwie Von Loria.
Also, spoken word artists Kookie Tuason, Maimai Cantillano, Zuela Herrera, Brian Vee, Rod Marmol, Mark Dimaisip, Rommel Pamaos and Vim Nadera will be there as well as musicians Pauline Lauron, Unwind, Chasing Deadlines and Suicidal Genius. In addition, there will be a live art by Cavity Collectives.
