What's Next?

I have a bad feeling that Brock Lesnar is so over-rated already. Okay, not be over-rated, but over-sold by the WWE, especially when his "suplex city" gimmick has gone stale.

In case you are not observing, SummerSlam 2014 turned out to be the start of his longest gimmick so far in his second run with Vince McMahon's promotion. He threw John Cena like a rag doll for 16 times – in other terms, he hit the German suplex on the Cenation leader for 16 freaking times; all that for a 16:05-long singles match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

While it wasn't really formally unveiled into the “suplex city, bitch” remark, but man, it already seemed obvious during the eight-month stretch from August 2014 to April 2016. And even if he left, there wasn't really significance about Brock's gimmick anymore.

The question: where is he really leading to? Is this the only way we could remember the former NCAA/UFC/WWE heavyweight champion?

If you recall his earlier clips, he was actually more vicious than what he is today – except for pulling those series of Kimura locks on Triple H and Shawn Michaels. (Heck, he's more of an arm-breaker than Alberto Del Rio.)

But perhaps, it's one piece of questionable truth when diverticulitis actually robbed Brock Lesnar a huge part of his life.

But man, come on, this isn't supposedly how Brock should have been booked. Remember those early months when he actually act like that “one-versus-all” gimmick of Roman Reigns? That suits him more. Remember when he faced The Wyatt Family? That should've been happened even before the brand extension. It's saddening some of the awesome plans didn't took place.

Well, we kinda wish Brock Lesnar should be feudding with the other heavyweight shits of WWE (aside from The Big Show): there are the likes of Brawn Strowman, Rusev, even Kevin Owens and Big Cass. And with Paul Heyman on the microphone (no matter how annoying he could sound at times), for one way or another, the WWE has been raising their stocks high; especially the flagship program in competition with their alternate program called SmackDown Live.

This Suplex City gimmick has been really stale for over the past 25 months. The creatives need something new, and by means of both gimmick and other arsenal of skills. Yes, even for a part-timer like Brock.

Which perhaps, leads to a brewing rivalry with Shane McMahon, right?

Well, we hope so.
