Say, it’s been a very long while since the last time I watched a basketball game LIVE. And as far as the local collegiate basketball is concern, the habit was almost nowhere to be found. Can you blame a busy guy? Can you blame me for being not affiliated with any of the NCAA or UAAP schools? While in fact, I’m just a hoops junkie. Yes, as generally plain and simple as that.
It’s no surprise though that for the second straight year, the UAAP championship will be housed at another school in Sampaloc, Manila. Defending champs National University were already dethroned by the University of Sto. Tomas; thus, ending a hope for a title-defense. De La Salle University wasn’t able to make it to the semifinal stage; their fourth time in 22 years.
And this… happened.
Mac Belo and his end-game heroics against another most-clamored team called the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles.
He did that last year against La Salle, and certainly he had done it again.
Man… that was a thriller; the same way on how Letran ended San Beda’s domination on this past NCAA Season 91 Championship.
With that being said, somebody should set a bonfire on either Espanya or Morayta soon.
