The Hit With a Thousand Words

9/21/2014 4:58:53 PM

It doesn’t really look rare when rappers tend to speak more in their songs than the typical hitmakers, even if they used to instil that “spoken word style.” At one point, we remember Twista for spitting the most number of syllabicated words in a single minute.

Then, we noticed this just a few weeks ago, when Eminem’s hit single “Rap God,” made him a rap god in both literally and figuratively ways.

The spitted 1,650 words over the six-minute and four-second track, good enough to bag the Guinness World of Record honor for speaking the most number of words in a single hit track. If you can’t believe it, then try counting that second single off his latest album Marshall Mathers LP2 (MMLP2).

Reports even stated that the award-winning recording rap artist actually rapped 97 words over the stretch of 15 seconds. Talk about power, huh?

His 1.6k words joined the likes of R.E.M. and rapper’s delight for putting much many words in a single song.

His record joins other musicians Metallica, One Direction and Miley Cyrus as the latest record-holders in certain categories for the 60th annual edition of the Guinness World Records book launched in mid-September.

After hearing it numerous times, damn, he was really a rap god.
