Throwback: LEGO Christmas Exhibit

12/24/2013 12:14:20 PM

Want some piece of throwback Christmas? I’m not a Santa Clause, but I’ll give you a dose anyway. Lots of doses, in fact.

Let me take you to a trip back in a memory lane as here’s something I spotted two years ago.

It was a Saturday night, December 30, 2011, when I strolled around the SM North EDSA when this exhibit suddenly flashed in my eyes and caught my attention.

Yes! It was the LEGO's Christmas exhibit held at the mall then.

Without wasting any precious second, I took my old phone-slash-camera (well, at that time, most of the mobile units already had one) and tried testing my photography skills in practice.

Several world theme parks were displayed as well as the other LEGO varieties like Ninjago and... who can forget Star Wars, and the game of soccer?

And even our local landmarks have their own LEGO-miniature version.

Well, yours truly used to practice that talent when I was still in my college years, just a few months before I venture into blogging. Well, pardon for some blurred shots though.

I should have shared this on this blog as my Christmas special post last year, but time constraints prevented me to do so. And I think it’s about time to post this.

Anyway... have a “happy holidays” everyone! Hope you appreciate this, at least.

  5. I've seen a LEGO exhibit before in one of the SM Malls, I think it was MOA, but it's not as many as this one. Wished you had a better camera that day.

This post made me wonder how they even did this? I mean, I remember when I was younger, I was bought a box of LEGO and tried to create Barbie houses or even Barbie chairs from it but it doesn't seem to be working out! Haha! So I'm wondering how on earth did they get to make this LEGOs look the way they wanted to. Two thumbs up to them! Hehe.
