This is one
of the viral photos circulates all over the social networking site Facebook
recently.

Meet
Shakran Luna, from Doha (if I got that right). And the photo was taken by a
Filipino nanny named Jovelyn. She’s also one of the famous bloggers from the Filipino-themed
community blog site Definitely Filipino.
If you’re
wondering what’s the story behind this? Well, see this conversation as it goes:
Lana: Ya Jo how much my one riyal in
the Philippines?
Inday Jo: Maybe 11 or 12 pesos.
Lana: Really? 11 or 12 for 1 riyals? (namangha talaga siya)
Inday Jo: Yes
Lana: Oh, my god! The children can buy food in my one riyal?
Inday Jo: Yes, they can buy food Lana.
Lana: Yes! Yes! (yumakap sa akin) Give to the kids that i saw crying in the news Ya Jo, Yes! Yes! (lumundag sabay taas sa kanyang kamay at sumayaw) im so happy ya jo, i wil tel my clasmate to gve one riyal 4 u to send in the Philippines.
Inday Jo: (natameme ako at niyakap nalang siya) Thank you Lana.
Lana: Im a gud girl now ya jo sa?
Inday Jo: Your an angel!

This picture already spread like wildfire as it penetrated
the circulation of news from around the globe. Several news organizations from
the Philippines took notice of this as one of the photos showcasing children
asking for donations to help the victims of typhoon Haiyan (with the alternate
name for Filipinos as Yolanda).
Well, yours truly have no idea how many did my friend
collected for this one. But certainly, one thing is for sure: this move of hers
certainly helped a lot. And I’ll quote these words from the Facebook page When
In Manila: “It doesn't matter how big or small you give. Even the smallest
things can mean a lot.”
P.S. Never ever underestimate Filipinos for being nannies.
You might need their help soon. I mean, literally.
