Miley's Twerking? So Mainstream!

09072013 | 0156PM

Just a short tirade on this hot issue that circulated the Hollywood for the past few weeks.

If there is one thing that what people should know about Miley Cyrus' controversial twerking during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards: it is not that totally disturbing, but certainly, it's not a cool act to follow either.

Why did I say that?

I think that's not what twerking is supposed to be. It has to be shown some kind of "art form," and not on such a way that the dancer appears like another whore in the top of the table. There is a thin line between a dance art and sexually provoking move. One thing she lacked about during her performance.

She dressed like a stripper even if she's not a hot chick to portray that. She may had done it, but her move ain't cool. As I review the video for quite some time, I can only give 2 more words: NOT CONVINCING.

Still, not that disturbing unlike what people are over-ranting about. I even doubt that it is a sexually appealing in the first place. Let's face it - Miley Cyrus has grown up. She is not the same girl that we kids and parents used to see in her Hannah Montana series. Billy's daughter transformed herself over the past 6 or 7 years. Yesterday, she achieved the best of both worlds; the next time around, she can never be tamed by all the criticisms from the sectors that are watching her worldwide.

And that is the problem right there. Actually, Miley is just another part of those Disney stars' curses. She's cute yesterday, but not cool at present.

Another worsening problem? It is part of our mainstream culture. Jeez!
