Playback: 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa – We Own It (OST – Fast and Furious 6)

Here’s something to dig for a while. Hip-hop music is now making way for the movies as the main anthem for the movies, just the case for the sixth instalment of the Fast and the Furious series.

I saw the movie twice, and on its opening and closing billboards (OBB, CBB) the music of Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz aired, and its title was “We Own It.”

“We Own It,” is the first track of the movie sound track for Fast and Furious 6, which starts Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and a whole lot more.

Well, my take on this one. Perhaps “We Own It” will fall down as one of those hell ludicrous anthems for the Fast and Furious series, unless somebody from their upcoming Fast 7 will top over than one. But we have a year to wait for that. 13 months to be exact.

Well, this song made sense just like the majority of Wiz Khalifa’s records. Talking about having a dangerous life and seizing one huge moment, eh?

No wonder why the movie was such a big hit this year. Wanna know why? The music was another different factor helping on it, as some of the moviegoers who witnessed the movie in the cinemas got hooked up on this track for at least once (or even twice, if you still managed to dig the credit sequence), and all that happened during the movie was still playing.

“We Own It,” was performed by 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa, for the album Fast & Furious 6.The album itself contained songs from Ludacris, Usher, T.I., Lil Wayne, and a whole lot more. You can purchase the album’s selective tracks on iTunes (smarturl.it/FF6). Published under Def Jam Recordings.
